Author, Michael Faber, has said that his latest
novel, The Crimson Petal and the White is his last book. His wife, collaborator, and soul mate died, succumbed to the insidious disease, cancer. He called it,
Planet Cancer, meaning it had taken over both their lives
.
I saw him interviewed on NPR (National Public Radio) and he said that he could not go on writing without her. God bless him.
